do you have any favorite Wynton albums?
Albums? I think with my transition to iTunes and the iPod I have lost any sense of albums (and continuity, for that matter). I do miss that, and I hope to get it back. Mostly it's jazz on shuffle for me.
But I will say that I do have the new live album (Live at the House of Tribes I believe) on repeat on my iPod lately. I like hearing his interpretations on some old classics, and I think the best jazz takes place live anyway.
What's your favorite Wynton stuff?
I with you on "Live at the House of Tribes," I can't get enough of that one precisely because it is live. Midnight Blues is another one of my Marsalis favorites.
Listening to Green Chimneys right now...great.
I have some of the songs off Midnight Blues, but I didn't buy the whole album. I will though.
